Application Database Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Database Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise data systems. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and accuracy of data pipelines and databases that support business-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage database jobs and ETL pipeline execution
• Ensure smooth data replication and data warehouse updates
• Troubleshoot performance issues, failures, and data inconsistencies
• Perform regular database health checks (storage, locking, query performance)
• Validate and maintain data integrity using reconciliation and analysis techniques
• Support multiple enterprise databases and reporting systems
• Maintain system stability through proactive monitoring and issue resolution

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong experience with SQL Server and database performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data warehousing
• Knowledge of data replication and job scheduling tools
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and database diagnostics
• Understanding of dimensional data models (fact/dimension tables)
• Ability to troubleshoot production systems in high-availability environments
