Job Description
As a Java Backend Engineer, you will design and build large-scale backend systems, lead technical initiatives, and mentor engineers. You will play a key role in ensuring service reliability, scalability, and quality, while actively contributing to coding and technical problem-solving.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to implementation.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Debug issues and provide fixes for live services.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Suggest improvements to system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, AWS.
- Solid experience with distributed, high-volume systems.
- Working knowledge of RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Good Debugging and Problem Solving skills
- Exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins) and caching technologies is desirable.
- Strong debugging and system troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in payments system is a must.
