We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) professional to implement and manage ITAM solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role involves driving end-to-end asset lifecycle management, ensuring compliance, and optimizing software and hardware asset utilization.
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Key responsibilities:
- Implement and configure ServiceNow ITAM modules including:
- Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
- Software Asset Management (SAM Pro)
- Asset Lifecycle & Contract Management
- Define and manage processes for asset request, procurement, inventory, deployment, retirement, and disposal.
- Integrate ITAM with CMDB, ITSM, Procurement, and third-party discovery/licensing tools.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and optimize software usage to reduce costs.
- Configure entitlement rules, reclamation workflows, normalization, and reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT operations teams to ensure asset governance.
- Maintain asset data accuracy and support audits with reliable reporting.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for asset lifecycle visibility.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4–10 years of ServiceNow experience with at least 2–3 years in ITAM.
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow SAM Pro and/or HAM.
- Knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, and ITIL processes.
- Experience in integrating discovery/licensing tools (SCCM, Tanium, Flexera, Snow, BigFix).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, and REST/SOAP integrations.
- ServiceNow CSA and CIS-ITAM (SAM/HAM) certification preferred.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to ITOM, Discovery, and Service Mapping for better CMDB alignment.
- Experience with SaaS license management (O365, Adobe, Salesforce, etc.).
- Financial Management exposure (chargeback, cost optimization).
- Architect-level design and roadmap planning experience.
