Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience as an Oracle Apps DBA
- Solid knowledge of Oracle EBS R12.2
- Experience with:
-Patching
-Cloning
-Production support
-Automation & monitoring - Exposure to OBIEE and OFSAA
- Basic to intermediate OCI administration
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations like month-end processing
What the Candidate Will Do Day-to-Day:
1. Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) – Core Responsibility
This is the main focus of the role.
- Manage multiple Oracle EBS R12.2 environments
- Perform EBS patching (one-off patches, PSU patches, etc.)
- Handle EBS cloning (multi-node setups with PCP enabled)
- Support production deployments
- Troubleshoot critical production issues, especially during month-end closing
- Automate routine DBA activities using scripts
- Set up and maintain monitoring scripts
- Monitor:
- Database locks
- Tablespaces
- Instance health
- Use scripts and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring
- Ensure DB and application backups are running properly, including OCI wallet backups
2. OBIEE (Reporting & Analytics Support)
- Monitor OBIEE environments
- Track locks, tablespace usage, and system health
- Use scripts and OEM for proactive monitoring
3. OFSAA (Oracle Financial Services Applications)
- Perform cloning activities for MERP-related environments
- Monitor OFSAA environments using scripts and OEM
- Ensure stability of financial analytics systems
4. OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) Administration
- Apply database PSU patches through the OCI Console
- Monitor cloud environments for:
- Downtime
- Performance issues
- Maintenance activities
